A knowledge graph is a network of entities and the relationships between them. It represents information in a way that machines can interpret, traverse, and reason about. Major AI systems like Google, ChatGPT, and Perplexity all use knowledge graph-style reasoning to answer questions and surface authority.

When your content, schema markup, internal links, and entity signals all point to the same coherent knowledge structure, AI systems can place you accurately within that structure. This is the foundation of AI visibility. Without it, AI systems may understand fragments of your brand but not the complete picture.

Define your core entity and its attributes. Map related entities and how they connect to your brand. Create content that explicitly covers each relationship. Use schema markup to declare connections in machine-readable form. Build internal links that reflect the knowledge structure, not just the navigation menu.
