Knowledge Graph

Also known as: semantic graph, entity graph, linked data graph

A structured network of entities and their relationships that helps machines understand how information connects.

A knowledge graph is a data structure that represents real-world entities and the relationships between them. It organizes information as a network of nodes (entities like people, brands, concepts, locations) and edges (the relationships between them). Major AI systems and search engines use knowledge graphs to understand context, resolve ambiguity, and answer complex questions. Brands that appear clearly in knowledge graph-style data structures are more likely to be accurately represented and cited by AI systems.

  • Entity Mapping ... The process of identifying, defining, and structuring the entities that represent a brand so AI systems can accurately interpret and recommend it.
  • Semantic Intelligence ... The practice of structuring information so AI systems can understand its meaning, context, entities, and relationships.
  • Structured Data ... Machine-readable markup added to web pages that explicitly declares the type, properties, and relationships of the content.
